Just a few photos of the process involved in making a Hyper Blue MCS into a promo car for Home Building Society.

We have a BEP Cooper to do also...

These cars are being used for stunt driving at Gloucester Park for Telstra Rally Australia. I have been told that there will be high speed paralell parking using nothing but the handbrake...along with high speed reverse flicks etc...

I'll get some photos and video of the cars in action when they appear...

Hue and Saturation in Photoshop...brings up the colours a treat...!
haha

Thats cheating! :p :p
It is actually very purple in the sunlight, but for some reason when you take a photo, it looks very blue with no purple..?

I've just dropped off the 2nd car back to Mini, and service told me that Home BS have been in and had 12 tyres changed in one hit, because of the stunt driving practice sessions. All 12 tyres were through to the canvass...

I was also told that we can expect to see high speed reverse flicks, 2 wheel driving and precision handbrake parking tricks, which explains why they needed 12 tyres.

I am glad I didn't lend them my car for practice..!!
Thanks mate,

wansnt insinuating that you did a bad job, more loking for an explanation to the product... I have seen some around here that have got creases in them, and was wondering the way you got around it?

Patrick, how many MINIs will be performing?
Do you know if they are on every night?
I might have to reconsider my antipathy towards Rally Australia and go and have a look at this.
I'd say 12 tyres.. 4 per car... 3 cars?

Todd
but they only drive on 2 wheels at a time so only wear out tyres on one side :D
hehehe, fair enough

Todd
well the final tally was...

24 tyres
3 new bumpers
2 windscreens
2 bonnet and front bumper resprays
1 new wheel bearing
a bloody good clean

take a look at the state of these...what a mess...given stick around the super special stage at rally australia.

And a BEP Cooper S chilli pack with JCW bonnet stripes.

Any videos of those stunt cars around Patrick?
Home don't have any...I asked earlier today.

So not unless one turns up from another member.

I think it would be painful to watch, judging by the paintwork and windscreen on the BEP.

It looks like someone gave it a jetwash with a sack of grit...
What were they actually doing?

How do you destroy tyres so easily in the dirt? Let alone windscreens?
Hehe, the funniest hting is that someone will buy them without knowing they were the ones that were raped at Rally Australia!!

I hope your vinyl held up:) Great advertising for you if the paint is in good condition underneath!!:D

They are on the way back to Melbourne as we speak...so beware..!!!

The tyres were shredded doing reverse flicks and handbeakw turn parking on tarmac...not to mention the burnouts.
Poor Sucker whoever buys one of those.......

Oops, I mean congratulations to the proud new owners of those MINI's that they purchased at such a discounted price...

Dan
Chances are Dan, that theyw ont even discount them...

Todd
they'll all be at niederlassung as 'executive driven' vehicles, just like the driver training cars....
"executive drifted" you mean!! LOL

Hi,

Strangely enough, when Stu Jones put his mini into the wall/armco on the East Coast Targa Rally, the vinyl stickers held up exceptionally well compared to the paint

Great pics AlexPalex ;) :D
