OK, I've sorted this one out. When in reverse, with the camera view showing, nudge the controller to the left and it brings up a menu of options, including the guide lines.
Rear view camera guidance lines
2019 MINI Cooper S Sport - I have the rear view camera which comes on OK, but there are no guidance lines on the screen. Should there be? If so, can I enable them?

Wish I could have a camera fitted!
I asked the dealer, only to be told they can’t be retro fitted.
