I\'m fairly sure that scoop under the front valence is a brake cooling duct. I would imagine that testing would put a bit of strain on the brakes after too many laps. I\'m sure swapping the brake fluid for Super Blue would go a good ways to solving any brake cooling issues if you are planning to put your MINI on the track.
