Heres the dilemma...!

One large Labrador....One 2005 Cooper S convertible with leather sports seats....Dog likes Mini...Dog likes being driven in Mini....When mobile needs to be in back seat...when stationary prefers front seat.

Between pedicures seat covers are a must, together with some form of restraint that allows dog to be attached to the seat belt anchors.

Any ideas, anyone on both suitable covers and restraint system?

For a harness and seatbelt hookups:
http://champk-9.com/
These guys make an /excellent/ harness. We've got one on our 80lb GSD that we use in the Jetta and the MCS (rear seats down in the MCS).

Do note: It took a /very/ long time to ship, and the company doesn't respond rapidly to email....but the wait was worth it when the harness arrived.

Keen,
Thank you for your very helpful response. That appears to be just what I am looking for.
Do you have any info on a suitable seat cover system? Labradors shed like crazy!
...I've /seen/ some seat covers, but can't find anything in my notes.

My nephew also got some fairly universal ones from PetSmart (I think) online that seem fairly sturdy...

Might do some searching on NAM, I recall there being some discussion there about pet seat covers.

rear seat dimensions, upright and folded down

Hi, I'm new here... this is, in fact, my first post!
I'm awaiting the arrival of my 2005 Pepper White w/black roof MC (CVT) and want to purchase either a rear seat cover as I've opted for leather and I have two dogs I need to keep off the leather.. and a), don't have unfortunately the seat or "cargo area" dimensions and b) am on the fence as to whether even get rear seat covers, or opt to fold the rear seats down and get a cargo-style cover... although I also need to know if there are any places to even hook their dog car harness clips onto if I wanted to go that route...
I use the Champion Canine Designs harness system, which hooks onto the seat belt hook'em thingy. I have 2 Shiba Inus, my "kids" (the breed is, coincidentally, used as "models" on the champk-9 website.. check it out!), and I plan to have often in my new MINI but I seriously need to protect the leather before they can step foot inside. They shed horribly and the younger one I still cannot trust to not chew everything in site!

Could someone perhaps supply both dimensions.. rear seats and the folded-down dimensions... and perhaps offer up some suggestions of products for either config? My Shibas and I would so appreciate it! Thanks!

Wet Okole neoprene seat covers are said to be fantastic (and from photos the fit looks top-notch). Alas, like the MINI-brand seat covers, they aren't cheap...

Thanks... I am looking though for something that is soft and that I can put on and take off real easily, and also that is not quite so expensive. I happened upon this item but wonder if even the smallest size is too big for a MINI??
Go to automotiveinteriors website - Pet Pro is the item I'm referring to.
The SMALL is 48"... would that work?

Also, still wanting the dimensions so if anyone has them, please share!! Thanks! :)
