I have a 2004 mini one, and it has self adjusting headlights, I fitted the 4 spot lights on the grill and tapped into the main beam feed, and they work fine, but now the self adjusting doesn’t work, occasionally it works on the drivers side but never on the passengers side, this is the side that I have tapped into, you can hear the motors going but no movement, both are stuck in the lowest position. The headlight adjust inside is the same, the drivers light occasionally moves but you can hear both motors going, I have change the passengers headlight but to no avail.
At the same time as the spot lights, I changed the rear exhaust rubbers, and have heard there is a sensor at the back for the auto headlight adjuster, is this correct and could I of disturbed that?
Help please as I can’t really see much at night
