Hi team,

I’ve just bought a Gen 1 2006 Cooper S.

Needs a good bit of work doing to it. When I drove it home I noticed a clunking noise coming from the passenger side (on a RHD car) when I turned the wheel.

I’ve put the car up on axle stands and it turns out that the shock pinch bolt hits the subframe when turning the wheel. Looks as though that wheel may have taken a bit of a shunt. The bolt doesn’t get stuck - it just kind of kisses the subframe.

I’m wondering how I might remedy this? What do you think might need replacing? The control arms look good, so could it be the shock that’s bent? I’m a beginner to this, looking to get my hands dirty, so any help is much appreciated!
