Hi,
I removed the two plastic battery covers from my 2017 Mini Cooper so that I could get to the battery. Once I sorted the battery and put the covers back on I carried out a water tight test. I noticed that water flowed from the first plastic section to the second section as expected but I noticed a trickle of water coming out from the right side and it looks like it is from the joint in between the two plastic covers that the water is coming from. My question is if this is normal or do I need to apply some sort of sealant between the two joins to make it water tight. The rubber strip looks fine but may not be forming a water tight seal. Any help will be much appreciated and as far as I can tell I have put the covers back on correctly.
