side indicator vents

does any1 know where to get chrome side indicator vents. i dont like the sharky fin ones and i dont have an s so the mcs ones are pointless cos i dont have a mcs and not trying to make it look like one. the std ones look ok just need them in chrome. any1 found any paint to make them look like chrome that looks good?? :indi:

what normal style ones from the mc? i dont want them with s in them. just want chrome replacements :indi:

I think those can be purchased through Moss. What I've wanted is a chrome vent with black mesh underneath......LIKE an MCS, but for a Cooper. The Moss version is all chrome...vent and mesh. I don't like that.

One issue of GoMINI featured a MINI driving school and one of the Coopers in their fleet had chrome vents with black grill. I thought..."OMG, that's it!!!" But I've never seen anything like that available. I want a little touch of chrome there, but not the whole blasted thing.

Anybody seen those?!??!?!?

You could probably paint the mesh part flat or semi-gloss black which would probably work fine. As an aside, I ordered the chrome side grills from Moss and returned then and there was absolutely no shine to the product and they looked like decidedly cheap plastic. Don't know if it was a bad batch but I'm waiting to see one in the flesh before I order again. I ordered chrome trim surrounds to the mesh intakes at the base of the windscreen from the UK and they were highly polished stainless steel - absolutely brilliant - I'd like to find something with that type of quality to it.

I've got these!

I've got these side vent covers on my Cooper. They are stainless steel and cover just the fins leaving the other areas black. They are the subtle look I wanted and are easy to install. I purchased them from CTD-Geramany.

Oooooo...I like those. I agree they are subtle...a definite plus, imo.

I know that some people have used other (cheaper) sources but ours are genuine MINI ones which are fitted as standard on the MCS. Including the bulb the UK MINI dealer price is GBP10.50 each (March 2003 price)
