I had the same dilemma about xenons. The current best replacement is the Philips Xtreme Power. They win awards!
A massive improvement over standard!

P.s I'm forever harping on about them. I don't work for Philips:biggrin:

Where's best place to buy them? And we need H4 for the R56/R57? I got the Philips +50% bulbs in my current MINI, but they are all H7  They have also been very reliable - only one blown bulb in nearly 5 years use...... :)

Does one buy H4s or H7s? What is the difference?

My regret is also not getting xenons

Thanks very much for that, Triffid - great help!

Clubman now here, and the H4 bulbs ordered from Powerbulbs  Including postage, they are about £8 cheaper than locally!
