I have an 05 MCS with the chrome line interior. I have been experiencing a creaking noise from the speedo - more apparent at lower speeds, especially on bumpy roads. I've found that lightly resting my finger on the bottom part of the giant speedometer ring will silence the creaking noise.

I'm reluctant to do the dealer just to have this fixed. Does anyone have suggestions for simple ways to remedy the problem myself?

welcome to the club. You can take it to the dealer if you want. good luck!

2 remedies i have heard of: Turn your radio up, or sell it and buy a Lada Samara. They have less rattles.
