Hi all was just wondering if the metal guard below the exhaust tail pipes was removed would it be a problem or for what reason is it there?

since it's just flimsy aluminum, not a sturdy steel skid plate, my guess has been that it's to keep snow and muck from building up on the inside of rear bumper or to help with airflow under the rear of the car.

Is it a heavy piece, in terms of weight??? but you did say aluminium.........

Just thinking I could get it remade in CF for almost nothing.
