No it's not a personal question.. seriously.. I took delivery of my MCS this week and the top of my shift knob is very tacky and will not clean up. Any suggestions on cleaners that will make it less tacky?

Thanks in advance!

Hmmm......many I should think. My advice would be to take it back to your dealer if possible and get them to do it.
I know it sounds OTT, but it's better than wrecking it using turps or metho etc.

Cheers

:)
Mine felt a bit sticky when I first got it but it's normal now.. Perseverance is the key to success!

Chrome

Monsta will be the first to own chrome wall tires.:D
Hey man, I already gave him the link to "Black Magic brand silver tire tint". You know, in case he just gets the whole thing chrome-dipped, and the wheels don't match.

All that you ever need in your tool box is duct tape (for making things sticky) and Goo Gone (for making things un-sticky). A little Goo Gone takes care of most anything...

I noticed this too on the couple of launch S's that my dealer had, maybe its a common thing with them

gear knob

The gear knobs have a soft grippy type clear plasic top rather than a hard clear perspex type used on mini one, cooper.
I'm not sure if this is what people are complaining about in this post.
It's normal for the S gear knobs to feel grippy at the top.
They shouldn't feel sticky though.
