Streaming music and iphone mount

Apologies if this ha's been asked a million times before but I just can't find a definitive answer (that I understand)

I've just bought s 2014 Mini Paceman Cooper D.

It has the central screen & I've successfully paired my phone but I don't have the option to play audio (itunes, spotify, podcasts etc.).

I suspected this would be the case, so I'm not bothered about buying extra equipment. I need to be able to see my phone whilst I'm driving as I'm going to have to use it as a satnav. Can anyone advise what else I need to be able to listen to the above audio, ideally without having cables attaching the phone to the car?
