Sorry I can't answer all of the questions, but on on the question of looks I can say that the sunrise interior works beautifully with the Hot Orange and blue roof.
I got to test drive an S cabrio at our dealer (Mini of Towson) that had the sunrise interior in the hot orange/blue trim. The car was absolutely stunning - it seemed as if the interior was designed with the Orange /Blue top in mind.
I didn't look too closely at the leather/cloth mix as our order is for Cool Blue w/ dark blue leather interior. I assume you've checked out the cabrio photos in the MINI2 gallery. This one is a good shot of the interior w/ hot orange:
It all comes down to personal taste, but I think you'd find the interior a great match if you go Hot Orange.
