Hi new to the forum here. My 2016 Mini Cooper with panoramic sunroof has exploded spontaneously on the freeway. Late at night and no cars around. Thought I had been shot.
Managed to stop on verge safely.

Mini are saying it is not covered by warranty because it is glass. $4000 aud to replace.

Ive googled a bit and there are many cars and several manufacturers not just Mini/BMW with these issues.

I am approaching consumer affairs and planning to go to Small claims tribunal VCAT in my state.

Has anyone experienced similar problems
