waiting lists are getting shorter... also I think that it depends where in the UK your based to how long the waiting time is

Dealers can also swop slots they have with others who may have had a cancellation. My dealer did this and my wait for an MOD is around 8 weeks which is very quick.

Seriously though, I looked around for ages for a build slot and couldn't find a better build slot. Congrats

I ordered my MCS at the end of July and pick it up a week today - and in all fairness the time has flown by. Remember when I rodered the car everyone kept saying you are mad waiting so long for a car etc.! I could have got one quicker if I ahd gone to another garage but decided to go for an 05 plate car. Anyway the anticipation is half the fun - even though you appreciate car once you have it, you still take it for granted farily quickly.

You are nearly halfway thre anyway! Just keep reading the brochure - that's what I do!

I kind of got lucky as it was the last car for April and was apparently a bonus car they had been given.

In the mean time I've got my cooper to bomb around. Of course the real winners are my work colleagues as apparently I was unbearable when I had to wait 5 months for my current cooper.

Glad you saw the funny side, i'm coping well with the wait. Its actually been good, so far changed the colour of the car and can now get the iPod interface if i want as well. Its going to be soo good to drive it home when i do, especially as the private plate has been secured (xx 05 MCS )

Must admit i nearly killed myself in a car crash over the weekend after seing a HB/W MCS go past in the other direction on the motorway and trying to catch how good it looked!

Damm car will cost a fortune if they keep adding more delightful new options to the list!

MY 05 MCS?

I was V lucky with mine. I was originally slated in for a July slot, but they had 2 cancellations. One for early Jan and one for March. Decided to wait til March for an 05. Glad I did as I'd not have heard in time about the bullets!
All turned out to be a good choice. Managed to flog my old car private and get a very decent price for it.. just waiting for the MCS now next Tuesday hehe!! Its all payed for.. I just NEED THE KEYS!
