Moderator was changing V-Style wheels to correct (16") size.
What about the £2000 R90 Cross Spokes?

They my fave then the S spokes! hmm If your going to add the R90's I'll vote for them
In fact if I could have any wheel/Size combination I'd have the V spokes/X Lites in 17"! As they're the best ones, just not 17"

I added the 17" Cross Spoke wheels which are available only in silver.
The poll never lies
BEST WHEELS FOR THE MINI

Mini people,

clearly the best wheels on the market are the 18" or 17" Hamann split rim wheels. Just look at them, in their highly polished glory!!!:D

i disagree
think that those look too boy racerish and are more suited to an XR2 than the cooper IMO

The skirting is the hamaan motorsport one (there's a price list been posted somewhere, by monsta I think) and the arches can be painted by any competent body shop.

Dom
KAS & Kinster,

The colour coded arches and skirting come from Hamann.

Visit www.hamann-motorsport.de for the full range.

The sole UK agents are www.autovougue.com, they aint cheap, but look the dogs doo-dah's! Speak to Stuart, tell him I sent you.

The option of adding aftermarket wheels to my MINI never crossed my mind as I like a car to look as standard possible, and consider most non BMW mods to look pretty tacky and boy racer'ish. I think wheels can be the exception if the right ones are chosen if there where no decent alloys available for the MINI I would have considered a couple of the mille milgia (sorry if thats spelt incorectly) designed wheels as they look classy and suit the car suprisingly well (the ones on the superchips are one of the designs) But considering the 16" Star Spokes, 17" Spokes were available at the time of ordering I had two sets to choose from (finally just swaying towards the S Spokes) As the poll isn't working I haven't registered a vote but for No. 1 it has to be S Spokes.
Aftermarket bits eg. wheels

Scotty,

I too agree with you that some aftermarket accessories do look takcy and distasteful. But from a recognised BMW tuner like Hamann, AC Schnitzer or Breyton, you must make exceptions! I understand what you mean, but these kind of companies only produce top end of the market products.

Purchasing the Hamann Kit and wheels is like dressing your much loved Mini in the finest Gucci clothing. Hamann only make parts for Ferrari, BMW, Porsche and more recently Mercedes. You undertand the "top end of the market"...

I don't think these companies products looke boy racerish, otherwise you go out and buy a set of TSW's (not that there is anything wrong with TSW, but it aint no Schnitzer or Hamann is it?

Alex.

Im sorry I didn't make myself clear I too agree the tunning companys you mentioned are of the highest caliber, and its encouraging to see companies like these providing us with there take on the MINI. What I mean is I have already seen a potential for some owners to start dressing there MINIs like 'S's for example and that is by no way the worst I recently visited a motorsport show where there were several MINIs with very nasty alloys from more mainstream companys.

I personally still don't like the Hamman and the AC Schnitzer wheels I have seen they are a bit OTT.

Don't get me wrong I had AC Schnitzer accersories and 17" wheels on my BMW 3 series, but the MINI ones I have seen are yet to win me over.

I just don't want to see the MINI going down the boy racer road hopefully it won't happen but you never can tell!!!

Totally agree, the S-Spokes are far the best MINI wheels around. The pole does not lie.
