"Think of this Mini evolving like the 911 but another line of Mini's will have more Space" Burkhard Goschel, R&D Chief, BMW/MINI

He says:
'The current Mini will always be the icon for the Mini brand. THink of its evolving like the Porsche 911. Eventually every part might be changed, but the concept will be the same; it will have fundamentally the same look. We are working on the convertible version of it, you can imagine that, but we have to work hard to make it rigid enough.
'But we are also looking at other Minis, a second line. You could think of a Mini Space Wagon. It won't clash with the 1 series range. That's a totally differant thing, rear drive, room isn't a priority. You couldn't imagine a 1 series Space Wagon. Mini's will always be front wheel drive.'

We Say
(i.e CAR MAGAZINE)
More practical range of Minis would be good, providing friving experience isn't compromised or suspension cheapened.

So... MINI to take on the HCTR on it's own terms, eh! Battle Of The Buses:D
I said that somewhere on the forum before, the 911 and the 'MINI with more room' quote.

:)

The space wagon idea is quite frightening, could be really could, could be awful!
