Have just been away on a course with work in Oxfordshire and because there were two of us going and all our stuff, and the fact that work are stingy to and won't pay private petrol for long trips, I had to hire a Vectra

It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good to get back in my MC today, after not driving him for 4 days!! :D It was like driving him for the first time all over again..... the lovely gearbox, the engine note, the low down driving position, oh, ecstacy!! I went driving for about an hour on all sorts of roads, and now he's abso-freakin-lutely filthy, but I don't care, it's just so good to be back in the seat!!! YAY!!!! :D :D :D

Vectras are not too bad!!!!!!! refined on the motorway and they have indicators which are speed sensitive in their loudness.

yeah you're right Minis rule! :D :D

No Vectras here...

but I'm assuming it's akin to a Ford Escort.

Glad you're back in the saddle. Can't wait to get there for the first time.

I'd probably argue the Vectra was a more competent car in its class then the 1990's Ford Escort ever was. Vectra is a bit bigger, half way between a Focus and a Taurus.

But none come close to the mini!

The Vectra wasn't actually that bad - pretty quiet on the m-way, and I am quite missing those funky nudge type indicators, tho nothing beats the MIN!!!! Although he's a very dirty boy at the moment!!! All that driving has left him mud splattered!! haha....just need to find the time to give him a good ole wash n wax! :D
