Hi,

I currently have a Cooper S on order with a Boost and single CD player which is a total of £210.

I have also purchased the Multi Function steering wheel as well and after having a look through some other posts and having a (slightly) better idea of what's on offer I am thinking of cancelling the boost and CD and purchasing the following.

If anyone has any comments/advice then it's appreciated.

1.) Thinking of replacing standard radio with Sony CDX-F5500
http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/Content/Products/Details/index.asp?modelcode=SON-CDXF5500

2.) I then need a MFSW adaptor from http://www.newministuff.com/mfsw_adaptor_guide.htm
The part I think I need is : Sony to Wave MFSW adaptor for 3 spoke wheel

3.) Get a dension iceLink v1.1
http://www.densionusa.com/x/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=378&Itemid=82

The theory is that after this, I hope to have a CD Head unit that can be controlled from the Steering wheel and the ability to then add my ipod via a dension or similar interface and control it with the head unit.

Mike,

Can you see any problems in the above or is it all standard installation.

Do I need to order anything like CD preperation for the car ?

Do you have a shopping list of parts I need ?

CD prep is no use if going aftermarket but if its free still get it as its one extra thing on your spec at sale time
You need Sony to wave mfsw 3 spoke adaptor
aerial adaptor
facia adaptor
:)
Very easy install
