Having owned a Saab 9-3 for a bit, I'm curious how bad the 'torque steer' is in the Cooper S. Since I won't be able to test drive one of these badboys for a LONG long time, any comments much appreciated.
Original Austin Morris Cooper S? Pretty darned bad - I reckon on a two-foot jump sideways every time I scream away from traffic lights on the redline.
The new MINI? (Which is what I reckon you're on about) - should be nil - at least according to BMW. The equal-length drive shafts and ASC-T ought to see to that.
heys amigos!! there should be NO torque steer since BMW made both shafts the same length and they state that there is none?!! We'll see when it arrives here.
