What is the best coverstick/touch-up paint for S-Spoke alloy wheels? I've been to Halfords and have seen the 3-pack touch-up kit for BMW's, which comes in a variety of silvers (arctic silver and someother). Has anyone used these or have experience with BMW's own touch-up sticks?
Is my wheel worth touching up or should I just leave it? Do you think it'll spread?
I presume it has gone through the lacquer?? If so, you would be best to sort it.
On my mates 306 Gti-6, he used a jet wash to clean his wheels, not realising he had a bit of kerb damage, and it peeled loadsa lacquer away from the damaged area. Just a thought!!
In my local Halfords, they have leaflets for a company who do the refurbs, it is about £40, but you have to send your wheel off to them, bit of a pain with no spare!!
The BMW body shop said they'll do it for £30+VAT and it's only a 1mm spot. They'll sand it, fill and repaint one of the spokes (don't fancy that). But I don't want them to mess it up, so I'm thinking of getting one of these kits for £9.99 and doing it myself. Will these kits protect it from peeling?
