I just tried to add our new [to us] 2011 R56-S to the Mini Connected app, by keying in the last 7 digits of the car's VIN as requested on-screen. However, the app tells me "This vehicle cannot be registered to your account"

I'm guessing the car may have been added to Mini Connected via the previous owner and the app doesn't want to add it a second time into my account. Is there any way I can clear theprevious registration/association by pairing up the car's Mini Connected system and going through a reset process or something?

Sadly not, no. I did ask at the Ipswich dealership when picking up a £168 replacement key (!?!) and the service manager didn't know there was an app.... He wondered if there was a phone number in the app that I could call for support but tbh I haven't looked.

Thanks for the thought, but sadly I get exactly the same error adding my VIN into the website that I get in the app. :-(

Tried emailing MINIcustomer support ages ago - no response. Tried asking the local main dealer - they had no idea & didn't realise there was an app. !?!
