It's no doubt the under engine shielding . I bet it just broke a few easy to replace plastic tabs that if you replaced it would hang correctly.
I don't know about these cars but on most that shielding helps divert air for better cooling so think twice befor you remove it. And learn to go over humps like that at as much of an angle as possible to to prevent that I'm the future
