URGENT HELP:snow damaged my MCS!

821 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  pisquano
I have a 2005 MCS and i had to drive for 1 hour yesterday trying to not kill myself with the snow

I think I pushed the car to the limits, as the ABS and ASC were doing miracles to keep the car on track..

the problem is once arrived home the warning lights for ABS and ASC remained ON...
I have left the car parked, checked today, and they are still on!
no matter if I use the ACS switch, the light won't go off!

for a quick moment during the trip, even the Tyre pressure indicator went on, but then it went off.

what has happened? I really wouldn't want to belt out hundreds of pounds!
I hate this freaking snow!!!!:angry::angry:

Could be just faulty sensors with the cold. Wait til it warms up a bit and see if they go off :D
If not new sensors.

Try driving slower as well :D
I have a sensor if you want to buy it if it does not go off they retail about £27 from the dealer you can have it for £15 and ill get it dropped off at your door free of charge :)

There is one on each wheel but it very unlikely both have gone you will just need to change them around until the lights go off.

The light goes off after a minute or two off driving to correct the fault when replaced.
Don't eliminate the alternator at this stage - it may not have been charging properly, and giving odd warnings.

I was really going dead slow! anyway I am still unable to move the car...
but I hope it's just some snow or dirt on the sensors?

how easy it is that I have completely broken both the ABS and ASC systems at the same time? I mean...I drove for like 2 miles...can this really be??
