US price list oddities

Did anyone else notice these:

1) The tires for the Cooper sport package are listed as 225's, not 195's as previously given. Is this an error? If not, it'd be nice to be able to get these with 16" wheels on the S.

2) The trip computer is not listed as a separate option, i.e. it appears that the only way to get it is with the premium package. However, it's shown as available as either an option or part of the package on the MiniUSA website spec sheet. I hope it's available separately.

It is also curious that the wheels for the "S" are only shown as 17". Since they want to charge you an extra $600.00 for that, I assume that the 16" are standard and their proof reader made a "boo boo".

Tom
And did you notice that the hood stripes are only an option for the S?

You can't get them as an option on the standard Cooper.
I also think it is very, very strange that a cassette tape player is a no cost switch if you don't want the standard in-dash CD player.

What is this, the 1970's?

What's next? Can we swap out the cassette player for an AM only, analog radio? :)

The options pricing doesn't have its own URL as they appear in an Flash popup window with no address at the top.

I just tried the site and it's working now.
THanks Bruce, however....

That's my problem! I can not access any of MINIUSA's flash pages. would you mind posting the "a la carte" US options, here? appreciate it...
Bumper, I hold, in my formerly nicotine-stained fingers, the booklet from BMW/MINI. My friend got it for me at the LA Auto Show last week. It is about as "official" as one can get. I have a flatbed scanner and would be glad to send you a scan of the equipment pages if you would like them. I may e-mail them to Paul if he wants to post them. I have no graphics capability at the moment. (My mainboard blew out yesterday, took out the PCI and AGP slots, so I am limited to an old 640x480x16 ISA card until I can get a new board, but at least the scanner can still be used. I wonder if Varse put a curse on me, heh-heh...) Briefly, the 16-inch 5-stars with run-flats are optional on the Cooper. The 16" V-spokes are standard on the S, not available on the Cooper. 17" S-Lite with 205/45R-17 are optional on the S only. My e-mail address is [email protected] if you want the scans.

Mini US brochure

If you guys want to see the brochure, I've already scanned it in. Look on page 9 of the personal galleries and look at mine which is labeled S_mott. All the specs are there.

Here is a link to the scanned brochure, thanks to minimott! This is the specific page that has tire information on it (right bottom). It says 5 star is optional and miniusa says N/A. So which is it?
