I have the same issue with some of my song covers/pictures using Apple iTunes on a USB stick, most are fine but the odd one is missing?
Bugs the life out of me.

Ive noticed that about the covers as well, no idea why. Then when you copy/import the USB tracks into the internal hard drive a different set is imported...!
Are not sure if it's the size of the USB. Maybe it can only read up to say 16 gb. Please correct me if I'm wrong

Im using an 8GB USB so that cant be the issue, but good suggestion.

Maybe you have a mix of mp3 and aac files on the USB, and the car is only seeing the mp3 files?

You may be right. Strangely when I import tracks onto the internal drive it reads AAC and MP3 but not directly from the USB. Some artwork still missing however.
