So I convinced a friend to drive me to the dealers in Black Rock yesterday. There are at least 4 MINIs sitting for sale on the lot. I can't imaging that being the case anytime soon in the US. I've been here three days and have yet to see one "motoring" about. Is the car just not all that popular here? Won't have time for a test drive - but it was a treat to see them just sitting there

They are popular all over the UK :) the MINI has a waiting list of around 3 months at the moment & they are less than 40,000 MINI's on Uk roads, hence you wont see many

Then why are there cars just sitting there with for sale signs on them? I could understand not seeing one on the roads but that there were cars just sitting there unsold was what confused me.
A couple in the show room - a couple that looked to be for test driving and then at least two more out front with big signs saying they were for sale.
