So can I measure the voltage from the ring so how?might be the ring in the hub its self ,, abs sensor works hall effect so when turn wheel should generate its own voltage ,
common for gen 1 cars abs pump ecu to go faulty
below ink for replacement ring sort of part of the hub, common rust will damage them, when ignition is switched off and back on the bas ecu resets zero to each sensor for ref points,, can use a multimeter on microvolts and use a plug breakout to the sensor at the wheel sensor see what is produces and working when spin wheel by hand, ,,do same on each wheel spin at same speed i fit a drill with a socket to centre hob nut and spin it while reading them as then will get same speed on all to match it up ,, ie then all 4 should read same volts, any that dont are suspect,, i then do same by connect to signal wires at ecu end this should check the wiring out at same time,, or could buy a £2000 snap on diagnostics tool and that will display all these figures without the making stuff up if that makes senseSo can I measure the voltage from the ring so how?
I take it there is a south pole set in the ring for the sensor to pick up on? It's not got teeth like others.
Ok I got some magnetic paper and when I put it on the bearing there was a few segments missing so just got a new front hub. Fitting it tomorrow.below link

happy days nice when things go right, i've had a problem child a 7 seat citreon that i finally got to run right one of those jobs fix one bit to find another bit then buy new parts that are faulty just to confuse things,,, but finally today got it sounding perfect and all live data looks like new engine,, hmmm after a full rebuild and new cat new 02 sensors and thermo housing and water pump radiator,,, teach me for buying it on the phone and trust a car sales man who said it had not lost coolant etc, reality was it was so badly cooked it dropped the valve seats out the heat, so another head and new rings and crack bearings to find the head i used was cracked so off again found another head from a car that had driven through a flood and bent all the rods,, and finally all runs well after all valves out and new guides and stem seals and lap all valve seats in etc, all that inbetween 12 other engine rebuilds and other stuff last year so ended up being fitted in around stuff, cars just seem to throw side balls all the time,@mike1967 I fitted the new bearing and all is good.
Thanks for your input mate. 👍
