I have a 2016 Mini Cooper S two door and following the last couple rainfalls, I noticed that the bottom of the trunk (as well as the cover, was wet and had water in the compartment where the tool kit is. Has anyone had this problem before and how was it resolved. Thanks!

Hi there, I have a F54 instead of F56. I have recently experienced damp carpet in the lower boot storage after 2 weeks of consecutive pouring rain in Hong Kong. Took it back to the dealer and I was told rear door seals failing is the cause.

Have been very sunny in Hong Kong this week so I can't tell. The staff from dealership said they have tested by spraying with water hose and no water went through.

Will report back next time pouring rain.

I tried the same thing with a hose and none came in. I'd appreciate knowing what happens the next time it rains. Thanks.

Check to see if the drains are clogged. Here in Brooklyn we get a lot of tree pollen and dust that can cake up the drains. I had a similar issue and that was the cause.

Hey man, just had a typhoon in Hong Kong but the lower boot storage is still dry at the moment. Hopefully that's my problem solved lol
