Well Done Scotthall Leeds!

Had to be said really.

They did a good job of keeping me informed at all stages, very accommodating, etc. especially considering:

a) My new-ness to car buying!
b) The number of times I rang up pestering them about details, delivery, etc.
c) The *ahem* vehicle I was trading in

They even managed to deliver the car earlier than initially predicted.

In my very limited experience of any follow-up work needed (slight adjustment needed to the rear seat) that is also very efficient.

In fact, the only problem I encounted was a slight mix-up in the paper work required to complete the finance. Even that, I guess, could be partly my fault.

So to sum up:
Top Job!
Top People!
Top Service!
Top Motor!

Well done - I'd definitely consider buying an S from them somewhere down the line ;)

Yeah in hindsight I should have probably ordered my Cooper from Scotthall, instead I ordered it from Lister Park in Bradford (I live in Pudsey).

I ordered the car in August and am still awaiting delivery (expected some time in June)....

The dealer hasn't kept me informed at all - they've just kept delaying the car, it's been up to me to enquire.

The apparent sticking points have been the Xenon Headlights and the Visibility Pack - but they didn't tell me that information I had to find it out myself!

Consequently I shalln't be recommending Lister Park to any of my friends!
I had the Visi pack and Xenons down as "possible" on my spec sheet. I was told straight away that they are not ready yet and would mean a lengthy delay if I spec'd them.

Waiting wasn't an option with my other car, so they were crossed off the list.

I did have to prompt them on one or two occasions, but generally they were very forthcoming with information, etc.

Only problem is, my original salesman has now been "promoted" (debatable in my view ;) ) to the BMW side of things. I hope his replacement turns out to be at least as good!

Wasn't that the BMW dealership that got burnt down during the Bradford riots?
My Cooper came from Scothall, Cambridge. Initial dealing were excellent, but after paying my deposit interest waned....
So after some chivvying up, they were fine, had a delay in collection by a week or so, but was compensated and they are more than happy for me to pop in.

Have little faith in the guy I bought from, but he is moving into the BMW showroom. Was introduced to his successor a great guy called Paul, and his colleague Ross.

So give me a few years and I'll be p/x ing Dunk with either of them !
After a seriously dodgy start with Scotthall, we seem to have reached 'an understanding' now and they've been pretty helpful as far as my replacement car goes.

I had a call from a BMW Customer Service team tonight and I gave them an average of 4 out of 5, so they can't be all that bad I guess!

The Service dept is still worryingly 'random' at times...I'm still getting calls and letters from them asking me to ring about getting my Radio replaced and no matter how many times I tell them it was replaced by them last November, it doesn't seem to sink in..:(
I got a call on the same day...

"From a scale of 1 to 5, 1 being the lowest, 5 being the highest, blah blah blah"

Indeed it was. In fact they'd just moved premises when I ordered my Mini. Still no excuse for bad customer relations though is it?
Probably a delay in replacing all the burnt out MINI's them pezzy low-lifes did.

No need to hold back Kinster - tell us what you really thing ;) :p
Hi guys,
Sorry to correct you on the old Scotthall burning down question - but it didn't. This might have something to do with it being in Leeds and not Bradford - where the riots were. Sorry to sound flippant but my Mini's never out of there so I've a fair idea of what's going on.

Basically they've moved to the new site for a year or two while the old site is leveled and re-built. Look's like they outgrew the old building and are having it replaced with a 3 storey whopper that will be BMW's flagship store in the UK. Well that's what Scotthall told me anyway.

Anyway if you see a Silver & Black Cooper around with some battle damage down the side be sure to wave.

Errr, I think you missed this post. No one said it was Scotthall that was burnt down, it was Lister Park. Still they have a fancy new place now so thats in the past now.

Scotthall did outgrow the old place and they have moved for a year while the old place is flattened and replaced with the biggest BMW centre in the UK.
