Im currently lookin for a nice set of 16's or 17's, I dont want something like the Kahn RSR's cos i think they look silly cos ur brakes look puny (Just my opinion). So heres something ive done and im lookin at Team Dynamic Monza wheels (I know ive used OZ Racing wheels but they are as close as i could get :D)
Ppls opinions would be nice.

Go for it
They look cool! Get em!
They look good but be careful, because of the spokes, they look smaller than they are. 17" should sort this problem out - the 16" on my mate's Saxo look closer to 15's...

There's not much of a price difference between the 7x16's and the 7x17's so might go for 17's, bit miffed at only havin BF Goodrich available to fit tho! C'est la vie! :D

Also, another point of interest - a little while back said mate had to order two new ones (had an encounter with "armco scenery ltd"), he was advised that they were on back order as the machine that makes them at the factory had broke or something - dunno if it's fixed now

Get the 17's, definitely!

Heres exactly what im thinkin of doin soon...

Hmm....

I like your choice of wheels but if I where u I would go for the OZ wheels, yes they are more expensive but the quality of the alloy is far superior to that of the team dynamics wheel... I had the team dynamics wheels in exactly that style on my old car, a fiat punto, and they just seemed to lack a little in comparison to similar designs from diffrent manufactuers...

I was also told by the Wonder Wheels mechanic (the people who take out all the kerb encounters from your alloys) that the higher quality i.e. more expensive the wheels, the less air bubbles you will find in the alloy which in turn means that when they are damaged the damage is far less substantial than it would be with cheaper wheels as less of the alloy breaks away..

Anyway, OZ make wheels for formula 1 teams and Team Dynamics make wheels for rude boy racer vauxhall novas!!!

the choice is yours...
what do ppl think

hi dshelton,

The only trouble you will have with those wheels is that it will take you an age to clean them even with wonder wheels or the like.I'm having the RSR's because they are a class wheel that are easy to keep clean.People generally dont go around saying "look at the weedy brake calipers on that",they look at the wheel.Just something to bear in mind.
My thoughts exactly, will be a horror to clean......
where did u get ur spoiler from matey?!

info please!!

andy
Thx ppl! :D
Well I had found a couple of days ago a good deal on some OZ Super Turismo's 16's and im gonna go for them. I wanted the TD's cos they were the closest I could get to the OZ's but i have now found what I want.
As for the cleanin, not a problem.....I usually spend about 4-6 hours cleanin anyway :D
The spoiler is from the aero kit from MINI spares. Give your dealer a shout. Its £155 not including fitin, I fitted it myself (Or should I say a friend did me a favour) it just glues on (Not literaly!!) and not bolted.

PS: Sorry just not a fan of 5 spokes. :D :D (Kahn RSR's do look nice tho!! :D)
Just a question about those white wheels posted by Dshelton.
I've seen similar wheels on modified cars around here but never had a chance to examine them up close. How are they conected as no bolt patten is evident, the only fastener is a flimsy cotter pin. I've been curious if they have one big lug, like a race car, under that red cap, the curiosity grows every time I see them.

They're on my friends car... You get the standard 4 bolt pattern (or 5 bolt depending on car) behind the cap. The cap covers these and a pin keeps the cap on (unless someone steals it)...

Hope that helps... I'd take photos but his car is in the bodyshop after it met an armco...

oh

THanks Dom. THat makes alot of sense, I couldn't imagine having to replace your calipers also. Must be a tight squeeze beneath the cap, or larger than the photo lets on.
Yeah, the cap is quite large... you can just about see it's outline between the spokes - the white bit. The red bit goes on top of that and all is held in with pin and prayer ;)
