WHAT IS THIS PART PLEASE?

Hi, just got a lovely second hand Mini Countryman Cooper, it's 2012 and found in the glove compartment a couple of those, not sure what they are? Just thought I'd ask before I bin in case they serve a purpose somewhere in the car!

Would have thought there would have been a part number on them if they were a BMW part, if there is a quick google of that will confirm what it is, if there isn’t then I would guess they are nothing to do with the MINI

Looks like some sort of a gripper handle. Or something that covers over the seat tracks. Maybe it's something for when you have luggage on the roof. perhaps it is a license frame thing. Maybe a something to keep things from rattling around in the jack space. Hopefully it not something from the engine bay!
