What is this?!

Can somebody tell me what this is? I was just figuring out my oil catch can install and I noticed this was on the little mounting hook that everybody used for their catch cans. I’m probably being stupid but I have no idea what it is...

that is the sensor for alarm for bonnet needs to be working as when bonnet drops its hits the plungers,,
i drilled in to the plastic baulk head wall and put nut and bolts through to hold the catch can, the other catch can i hid it away behind this and next to brake servo
