I'm upgrading from 16" runflats to 17" non-runflats on my Cooper D and can't decide what size tyres to go for?

I believe the stock size is 205/45/17 but I've had this size on a car in the past and found the car didn't "feel" as good to drive as when I'd had 215/45/17 on the same car?

Is 215/45/17 a good size to go for with the MINI? It isn't lowered and I doubt I will be lowing it unless I find some official MINI Cooper D lowering springs.

They're 17" Bullet wheels so I'm pretty sure they're ET48

Thanks for the info. Someone really helpful on here has recommended I go with...

Goodyear F1 GSD3 215/45/17 @ £76ea.

Do other people reckon this is the best I'll get? I'll spend more if need be but after reading such good reviews about this tyre, is there anything better?
