Williams Mini - Liverpool

I purchased my Mini from Williams Mini in Liverpool and found their customer service to be great, up until after I bought the car. I have contacted them several times about various issues and they have not got back to me, it took them 3 months to sort out my personal numberplate!! 6 months down the line i'm still waiting for my additional remote key fob, anyone else had experiences with them?

No experiences with them, but once you drive out you move from being dealt with by the Sales team who are very customer focussed to being seen to by aftersales;)
Not with Liverpool, but to be honest this seems to be the case with all of the Williams franchises.
I have had good and bad experiences with Williams Liverpool.
I have just had my Dooper serviced by Williams Liverpool. I work at a hospital in Liverpool and Williams were more than happy to collect and return my car. The car came back clean inside and out and seems fine. Unfortunately, the "tyre manufacturing defect" I asked them to look at - several metallic threads appearing from the offside front tyre - was deemed to be due to laceration by something on the road and I had to stump up £250 for a pair of Goodyear's finest!

My experience of sales was less than impressive. I decided to trade in my 2003 Cooper S Chili for a new Dooper. I took a test drive and received a part ex quote from Blue Bell in Wilmslow. My wife suggested getting a comparator quote from Williams Liverpool. I arranged to take the car in at 08.00 for an evaluation. I was a pretty serious buyer and thought I would obtain a valuation on my car there and then. I would have thought any competent MINI dealer would know such values within seconds - how hard can it be, dealing with one model and three variants? Unfortunately, the idiot that I saw had to refer to his boss who was off site. It took me 3 days of constantly telephoning them to obtain a valuation that was £2000 short of Blue Bell's! Guess who got the order for the new MINI.

When I bought my Cooper from there a few months ago. the salesman was soo chilled out (in a bad way). Made no real effort, I knew he could sell the Cooper I bought 3 x over.

Spotted a few scratches and stone chips before I bought the car, salesman said he would get them sorted, no problem at all.

Guess what, it looked like a 5 year old had touched them in with a felt tip. Asked the reason for the poor job and the salesman just said the lads that do it are not that good at that sort of thing!!!!!!

They did sort out the alloy wheels which had a few scratches on them and they are fine.

As other people have said they are not the best, but to be fair he did try to make up to me with a free tank of petrol.
Purchased my Cooper S from Williams Liverpool they were fine until after pick up and then did'nt want to know ! Damage to the car from brand new when I picked up the car it was outside covered in snow!!! so couldnt check the bodywork . Phone calls not returned etc etc....

12months later bought a Cooper D from Williams Manchester they were no better on collection there was a stone chip in the bonnet and it was slightly dinted were the stone had hit!! The salesman said he would get it repaired ( I think he drove it round the corner and touched it up himself:mad: I took the car home and called our local dent man who did a great job cant even see it:)

Im considering a Clubman D at the moment and I am considering the journey to Derek Woodmans

I bought my first s from williams liverpool. They were really very good, professional and the mini looked fantastic when i picked her up. However i noticed a couple of problems after a couple of weeks with the steering and then with my seat. She went back continuously to their after sales who were polite but more commited to beemer drivers generally. There was no dedicated mini after sales . I kept having her returned to me but with the problem even though they said it was rectified. Eventually i lost with them and complained. They said they would have my car for about 3-4 weeks to get parts sorted etc and gave me a one which i wasn't impressed with seeing as i was paying group 15 insurance for that 4 week period. so idid get an upgrade in line with the insurance i was paying .Eventually the problem was sorted with the seat but the steering wheel was never fixed properly. She was stolen a couple of months after too, so not the best of memories.
i would say that some of the sales team are very good; the ones who have been there for a long time but after sales is not great.
i changed to derek woodman and haven't looked back.

sounds like Williams in Liverpool are no better than there friends at Manchester due to Manchester beeing the best selling dealer after Park Lane in London BMW arent that to bothered about how **** the after service is. I did buy my GP from Williams in Bolton and they did offer more money for my Mini One than there friends in Manchester offered me I dont mind buying cars from them but if I had any problems I wouldnt go any way near a Williams garage
OMG I wish I read this thread before I bought my car! I live in Birmingham and my local dealer is part of the Sytner group whom I have had trouble free motoring of 2 MCS's.

Im about to buy my 3rd MCS but the one I want is at Williams Liverpool. Sytner said they tried to buy the car from Williams group stock but the wont do it :frown: So I put a deposit on the car and am about to go to Liverpool next week to pick it up.. its sounding like a bad idea now?!
:(
In my opinion they are all are crap as each other and anyone thats pays dealer prices for anything deserves all they got! My Warranty ran out last year and i can honestly say my car will never see the inside of a sh*tty BMW garage again. £250 for tires, why the hell did you pay that?? I got two top of the range brand new parelli tires fitted at a back street garage for £60 last month after BMW quoted me £125 for one of the exact same tyre, rant over. Sorry guys but i just think the way dealers treat you once you have the car is our of order and why is it always fat trout faced women on the counter too!!!
I cancelled my order from Williams yesterday, im just waiting for them to give my deposit back :(

.... and why is it always fat trout faced women on the counter too!!!
The two ladies at reception in my dealer are gorgeous! They are the reason I keep going there lol, but i always seem end to up with a car rather than their number! What a crap deal 'eh! :p
