Anyone had their windscreen wipers stop working and start again later? It seems they are now totally dead and I am wondering if anyone knows any connections etc to check that could eliminate the problem?

This is a dealer only repair because in my opinion it will be the wiper motor at fault.
If you look at the connection on the motor i am pretty sure you wont want to be getting youre hands down behind all the ABS Pipes and behind the bulkhead trims.

I the rear wiper working?

If the motor does not recieve a signal from the park contact in the motor it will switch of the power to the realy thus deactivating the motor.
This park contact is there to serve 2 purposes
1.to park the motor
2.to block the motor from operating if it does not see a park signal within 18 secs of activating the realy.
This function is there to stop trying to activate the wipers if there is alot of snow/ice on the screen causing the motor to be over worked. It turns them off.
