Wonder what kind of console configuration this is

Considering buying a MCS 05 model, have been looking at this car but can't for the life of me figure out why it's configured this way. RPM and Speedometer by the steering wheel, and fuel, oil temp and pressure, and coolant temperature in the centre console? I thought all mini first gens had speedometer in the centre?

Not sure if it's standard or aftermarket but if you check out some pics some are like that.

I do believe it's standard. This particular MCS has had one owner, and there are no aftermarket mods on the car as far as i've seen. Ultimately i'm curious as to whether it's a good thing or a bad one. Having the speedo right there in front of the driver seems better, than having it on the centre console.

From memory the large centre speedo is aftermarket I think.

It's a first gen mini.
It has the chrono package which gives you a bunch of gauges where the Speedo would be on cars without it.
a lot of people desire this pack!

Yup, it’s the chrono package. My old ‘05 had one.
Love the look of it although it’s crowded with the speedo & tach above the steering wheel.
