Hey gang, I'm relatively new to Mini ownership. Our 2013 Countryman needs a new battery. I got one from Costco, but in the process of researching how to get the panel off etc to replace the battery, I discovered that the computer needs to be updated so the car changes how charging behaves for a new battery (so it doesn't over-charge, and there isn't damage to the alternator, etc). Looks like I can get a cheap Bluetooth OBD reader off Amazon for like $15, and from what I've read it looks like an app called "Bimmercode" should help me change the settings in the Mini's battery management.

Is this a pretty straightforward DIY process? Any help? Thanks in advance! :)
