Hi,
Looking to get insights on minis and if makes sense to buy one for my household.
Really like the look of them and idea of owning one but being told not practical car, and will be costly for maintenance, etc
Have large dog and live in country in GTA…but drive into town for work
Any resources to know if 2013-2016 vehicles under 130k km a good choice, looking at S countryman or 4door mini

@mike1967 is our engine guru on this site and knows almost everything about Minis.

Mike - what engines are in the minis I guess always petrol as it is in Canada), and what would you suggest is the mileage before requiring a new full TC kit to be installed??

petrols gen 2 cars 60k ish is best point stops them using oil is main thing, 8 to 10 years stem seals common go hard and leak, gen 3 cars have bmw/chinese engine b series
