Hi,
My wife bought a used Mini last week, 57 reg Cooper D with 105,000 on the clock, it drives really well and smoothly, it had a new clutch put in last year and the gearbox feels fine. But there's a low vibrating noise when accelerating, it's more of a buzz/vibrate than a rattle, and only occurs when the engine has warmed up a bit.
Sometimes it's quiet and you can barely hear it, other times it's louder, and sometimes it stops. The engine sounds fine on idle, no rattling so don't think it's got the death rattle. The exhaust heat shield does look a bit wobbly which I thought might be it but the sound is more a consistent drone/growl than a rattle (sounds a bit like a motorbike noise).
Any ideas what this could be, has anyone had a similar noise? Appreciate any opinions.
First video is from last night when sound is fairly quiet, second video is from this morning when louder.
