I bought a 2007 MCS a few months ago, but in the past few weeks I've been having problems when cold starting in the mornings. I've had a good look through the site and watched videos on YouTube etc and unfortunately it looks like my high pressure fuel pump is what's causing the problem. I wondered if anyone could offer advice on where is best to buy a replacement? I know buying the part direct from Mini is pretty insane, but there seem to be a few on eBay that are a lot cheaper - is there anything to worry about with these?
I was going to take it to a local trusted mechanic, are we looking at a few hours worth of labour? If anyone has had to get this fixed it would be good to hear how much it cost. Thanks
