Good morning everyone

my car has been in repair at the dealership since August 21st, they told me that the famous "defective" part regarding the brake control unit was ordered but no one knows when it will arrive... a week? a month? two? a year??...) mine is a Countryman C 2025 with 10,000 km, I had the problem going downhill with curves and I assure you that it was not pleasant at all... as for Mini bmw assistance IMHO they don't know much about the new model... if anyone is interested on the Recalls | NHTSA website there is the whole recall issue, oh also my chassis is not subject to recalls.... attach last Mini Recall 24V-104

I completely share all your discontent but this time the dealer has little to blame... it's the BMW Mini directives that change from one day to the next and the dealers are forced to adapt, my dealer has summoned a customer twice in a month a new BMW X1 and both times it was stopped by the head office a few hours before delivery...

article on the BMW production freeze

I also share your "feelings" and I had thought about selling it once I returned from the recall but in fact, in addition to the loss of money, I didn't find any truly "alternative" cars, I didn't mind the Kona full hybrid, perhaps more "economical" but the colors and the Countryman line are unique and IMHO, despite some defects, the three-cylinder mild hybrid engine, DCT gearbox and steering are very pleasant..
electric car? for me it's utopia...

I attach yet another Mini BMW bulletin from September 6th, the part with code 34 50 5 B55 D46 is the same one installed in the recall carried out on my MINI Countryman in the first days of September. Did I translate it wrong or is this piece also not good??

It’s wild that BMW seem to just accept people are cancelling RATHER THAN GIVING ANY INFORMATION AT ALL. It’s absolutely crazy. Zero information from dealers. They won’t even talk about it. Barely acknowledge it. The US seem to be getting fixes to cars, but nothing at all in the UK it seems.
I believe that the problem is identical in other countries too, here in Italy the "tug of war" has also begun between rental agencies, who do not want to sign the famous "letter" and BMW...

The software fix is applicable to a very few cars only and you're obviously one of the lucky ones. The majority of the 1.53 million MINI, BMW and RR cars affected require a new integrated brake hydraulic module to be fitted. They are in very, very short supply and the first cars prioritised to receive the new part (outside of factory production) are cars on STOP sale notice that have been sold and can't be delivered to their customers.
or cars that had braking problems and malfunction warning lights that were consequently loaded onto the tow truck and sent to the dealership like the one of the undersigned in full summer holidays with 40 degrees Celsius..... i attach the replaced parts

Today I got the warning on my car display about the famous IBS brake system recall.... premise: the IBS system had already been replaced in the first days of September, as I feared the solution to this problem does not seem close... the never-ending story

Small light at the end of the tunnel... I contacted the BMW Mini dealer regarding the recall notice that appeared, he reassured me by telling me that the replacement of the IBS carried out in September is still valid, it had not yet been communicated to the BMW-Mini to update the databases... better this way

Further change of direction, unfortunately... even the "IBS" replaced in September needs to be changed again...

Good morning everyone, on Friday 20th December I have an appointment at the dealership for the umpteenth replacement of the famous IBS (recall 0034810200 braking system) it's the second time... let's hope the permanent one
