I had an MOT and a service on my Mini Cooper coupe year 2012 On 27/08/25. It cost me £436.20.
The engine wasn’t starting up straight away so I took it back on 10/09/25.
They replaced the timing chain. It cost me £2411.72.
i took it back again on 19/09/25 as there were numerous flashing lights on the dashboard.
They said the camshafts needed replacing. The cost was £1500.00. They told me it wasn’t worth doing. I collected mr car on 24/09/25 and was told it was safe to drive. I was told tobring it back if I wanted the work doing.
is this normal procedure?
