Help - bellowing smoke , now failures!!!!

Hi Folks

Would appreciate your wisdom. 2005 Mini Cooper.

Pungent bellowing smoke started coming from under all orifices under the bonnet and into the cabin. Eventually stopped, now no power steering and a battery warning light is on.

Any idea what's failed, and what can be done?

Was it coolant, was it oil smoke? Did you open hood and see where it was coming from? Were there any dash lights on?

The first thing I'd do is check all your levels, Oil, Water etc and then take it from there and look for any evidence of oil/ water loss in and around the engine bay
