Person selling doesn’t know history of car, but shows video of it running and starting fine. Says it will drive onto a trailer and it will need gearbox and cables for 6-speed getrag manual transmission. From searches I’ve done online, this looks like a pretty intense swap! Changing flex plate, starter, axles, clutch, and transmission mount. Is it possible that all of this would be done, except gearbox and cables? I’m finding that the parts aren’t readily available. Just wondering what my primary concern should be at this point? And, where I could get the needed parts if I move forward?

Update: I talked to seller and I made the wrong conclusion. The transmission was not swapped. It came with a 6 speed manual transmission. I didn’t know that was an option in 2005. Anyway, the current issue in his opinion is the shifter. It’s currently stuck in 2nd gear. He had driven fine for a few months without issues. It’s just recently that he would downshift into 2nd gear, release the clutch, and it would do nothing. Now, no matter what gear he tries (even neutral) it’s in 2nd gear. He’s convinced it’s not the transmission. When he looked closer at the shifter, it appeared to have some give to it. Thoughts? Anyone have a similar issue?
