I'd have liked to go along to the Dunsfold thing but forgot about it.

Oulton Park TD today too but need to be in for a collection of wheels, pita. Anglesey tomorrow may be possible though, not the same though, Oulton is fast in comparison, but the other suits the Mini well, will see.

I'm just exploring the option for Pagid RS29 pads for my GP2 brakes f&r, I've read a few times now that the bite is really good, so thinking I may need a little less weight on the pedal, I brake pretty late with them which is kind of funny, reeling stuff in very quickly really. Will see, but have spare sets of OEM for now, but front are BMW 135i pads, different part number, cheaper than the Mini number too.

the pedal is or was fine on mine when I did it, and loads of people have done this simple R56 conversion now with no issue. I wouldn't consider the extremely slight difference a problem. Some earlier cars suffered a soft pedal anyway but the difference in before and after on a car with a good system is negligible. Run the car for a couple of hundred miles if you have new linings and you'll find the pedal will come to you. I have GP2 size brakes on mine now and still use the original master with those, plus I use the R56S JCW/GP2 rear brakes and the pedal is still excellent. You can explore fitting the M3 E46 master cylinder as some have done but it isn't necessary, really. I track may car occasionally and it stops on its nose with no mods other than the R56 lines and regular DOT4 fluid. Even the linings are BMW OEM.

you don't need to fit anything else.
