The whole assembly slides off as well as pulls out if that makes sense.

 

Yes thank you should I slide it towards engine or rear of car whilst pulling? Don't want to break anything, thanks for all ur replies your a great help

Thanks for the help Sean was able to fit the clear side repeaters with no issues today look tidy on it, once bonnet is open you can look into front wings and you'll see the direction you need to pull side assembly and then they just pop off

 

Thats great big G! Its been a while since I've looked at a side repeater on a Gen 2 which sounds daft as I have 2 of them in my fleet. I usually leave that stuff to my mate while I push on with the dirty work. Where did you get the clear lenses from? I quite fancy a pair for my pepper white Clubman
