Hi,

Recently there have been many more people participating in various track and club days. I thought it may be useful to post up a summary of the various days for the remainder of the year. The days I have listed are either days that have been mentioned on the board, or are by clubs or organisations that are used by members on the board. If anyone knows of any others, let me know and I'll edit them in ;)

25-30/4/06 Targa Tasmania

3/5/06 BDD Eastern Creek

6/5/2006 BMW club supersprint Wakefield Park

4-6/11/06 Mt Buller Sprint

Great idea. I might make this one sticky. How about after the current track event thread have run their course we move that discussion of these events in the future into here?? They are very worthy events, but there is sooo many of them :)

I think it is a good idea to have a sticky thread for the motorsport calendar, and for those that generate their own banter to have their threads moved into here after the banter ceases. This will provide an ideal archive easily found for current and future MINI Trackers. Might help the new boys/girls in researching which Track day is good for them and times, mods, tyre choice etc, which are usually all covered in the banter that precedes and follows each track day.

Great idea Robbo. What a shame the no licence day at EC clashes with our Wakefield event.

Maybe you more expert track guys might want to give us novice people some hints and tips (like best tyres for the track, times to expect, handbrakes not working straight after run etc) up here in this post.

Any other info would be helpful - and might easily con us into coming along.....

Cheers

Come to Oran Park on the 19th , and they have around 4-5 instructors on hand for the novice people. They also provide some helpful tips for the more experienced :)

Hi Chris,

The Burrow's Day for the Beginner's Class is booked out so I want to go to Oran Park. Could you include me on the list?

Cheers

I did a couple of searches to find this racing mini forum but only got generic type responses, so where is this specific forum and can you put a link from this thread to it to help others find it. However, is it Australian specific or worldwide?

I bet it is hiding somewhere really simple but I'm not blonde like KS Cooper, just a little silver.

Not usually ... would be interesting though reading maps etc ... main thing would be a decent harness, nothing worse than rolling around with your hands unable to hold onto anything
Thats settled then. I bring the car you bring the harness:D
