Hot Chocolate or Pepper White Clubman?

I'm absolutely desperate. This debate has been swirling in my head for two weeks...

chocolate clubman with either a chocolate or a black roof (w/sunroof)
or...
pepper white clubman with black roof/trim.

At first I thought chocolate, then the white, and then all of my friends thought the white was too 'girly' (I'm a 27 yr-old male) or 'dull' when I showed them the pictures, and the majority thought the chocolate was the cooler color. ...

Today I saw both variations at two different dealerships, and I adored them both.

Please vote now and save me from myself.

I thought the Brown would be a sunshine colour you know it would only work best when its clean and the sun is shining but having seen one in various states of grubbyness I would say it works well and looks smart whatever the weather. I am a PW owner partly out of cost saving the 270 squid for metallic helped me choose.

Can understand the tough choice, think both look good, but I'd be more edging towards the brown, as its real in colour for next year in fashion trends so I can see it staying popular for a while. But then there is also the fact that its an exclusive colour so that appeals to me too:)

Ordered my pepper white with hot chocolate lounge leather yesterday, so i'm biased (white is the new black apparantly). Hot chocolate is very very nice but i was worried whether it would still be fashionable next year or in 3 years etc..

Either way - it will be uber cool!:D

So, 7-6 Chocolate so far....

This is cracking me up. Was hoping for a clear majority here... I think the 7-6 in favor of the Chocolate is where my head is right now - just SLIGHTLY leaning toward the Choc, since it is a bit more unique. ... Also, I'm buying this car in Florida and will be going on a cross-country Mini road trip to Los Angeles, where I'm moving. So in the Cali sunshine, I'm thinking the chocolate because the color really does pop in the sun. ...

Now, if chocolate, black roof or chocolate roof? Wondering if the black roof makes it look too 'hard,' if that makes sense. Also might get chrome mirrors. I would totally go for the silver roof because I think the contrast looks great from the front, but the black-brown back pillars look so much better/classier to me than the silver pillars coming down around the brown. Just my two cents.

Thank you all for your generous input.

Just wondering... What did you ever decide on, the Hot Chocolate (roof / interior?) or the PW?

I went from a dark car to the PW and for good reason. One dark car for me was enough EVERY scratch or spec of dirt shows up. From the posts I have seen the mini has a soft paint so this makes it even more prone. Sure it looks great for 5 minutes but then it's all down hill. My vote is PW if you couldn't tell.

They all look great, but I think the silver gives it a nice touch of contrast ... and it DOES look like the aluminum foil around a piece of chocolate :D

Love both colours, with the Clubman they both look great. Plus they are both as popular in terms of choice, so chances are you will see lots more about on the road.

If it was my money I'd opt for Hot Chocolate / Black, it just looks that little bit more purposeful, plus with it being the Clubman only colour makes the car standout that little bit more from the ever-increasing crowds of Minis that you see on the road.

In terms of price, when you eventually sell the car metallic paint will always make it more valuable, its recognised as being one of the only options which many people will pay more for, along with the options packs.

As for White being the new Black? Well Black has overtaken Silver last year to become the most chosen colour for a new car in the UK. Though it would be interesting to the %'s of colour choice for the clubmans manufactured in the UK, I'm guessing a lot of Hot Chocolate and Powder White cars will appear on the forecourts in 3-4 years time.

Its a really hard decision that. Depends what you want...

You can have pepper white on ANY mini, whereas, chocolate is exclusive to the clubman. Good luck with your choice.:)

I agree with the exterior HC color discussion. The "exclusive" Clubbie color will definitely make an impression if you're thinking of resale value down the road. I'm thinking anyone who has an eye on buying a previously owned Clubbie would also have an eye for the styling of it, as well. "Exclusive" styling could play better than still available colors.

As echoed earlier, you can choose PW on any Mini.
But you also have to love seeing your chosen color everyday :D

cheers

I don't know about that - when I got my seven, there were VERY few pepper white minis about - I liked the rarity. Now, I see loads - far too many. It seems that pepper white has overtook chilli red, and I miss the individuality!:D

I've got to say that I went for the hot chocolate with a black roof, hot choc leather lounge interior and got the steering wheel, handbrake and gear gaiters in hot choc leather as well rather than the standard black. It just completes the look. I thought about the silver initially but after seeing the silver roof on a number of clubmans I thought it looked too plasticy rather than aluminium. The blakc matches the piano black trim inside as well. All very co-ordinated.
